Kettering College’s Giving Day ’22 Was a Success!
Giving Day is a way for all of us at Kettering College to help lift up students as they work towards their healthcare education goals. We recognize the importance of healthcare service, and Giving Day is one way of showing gratitude and support to those who take on this sacred work.
This year’s Giving Day was on March 23. More than 110 donors consisting of alumni, faculty, staff, and friends raised over $27,000! Funds raised help support the following:
- The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Scholarship Fund
- General Scholarship Fund
- Student Assistance Fund
- General Fund
These funds provide direct support to Kettering College students to help make their journey to a career in healthcare a little smoother. An additional $2,000 gift was made to the DEI Scholarship Fund when we hit 55 donors for the day!
Other challenges throughout the day, like the Early Bird Challenge for the first gift of the day, unlocked even more money for the DEI Scholarship Fund and the Student Assistance Fund.
“Our faculty and staff as well as the network leadership really stepped up and helped us have the most successful Giving Day ever. We had a lot of first-time alumni and donors who had never made a gift to the college before.”
-Tina Howard, Giving Officer
We raffled off 2 student parking spots and 1 covered faculty/staff spot during the day.
10 donors won some Kettering College swag:
- Mark Dieter – ’89 PA
- Megan Rusk – ’19 Nursing
- Ester Simbolon – ’15 Nursing
- Kristine Martin – ’73 Allied Health
- Dan Janning – Friend of the College
- Michael Davis-Cheshire – Faculty
- Rebecca Gardner – Friend of the College
- Susan Aebker – ’89 Allied Health
- Bob Cundriff – Friend of the College

He encourages everyone to stay tuned for more ways to get involved throughout the year to support our amazing students. Thank you!
