Kettering College is expanding into Greene County. The college, a division of Kettering Medical Center, will offer health science education classes at the Ollie Davis Medical Arts and Education Center. The center is located at 68 Darst Road in Beavercreek near Indian Ripple Road. The Ollie Davis Medical Arts and Education Center and Kettering Medical Center are part of the Kettering Health Network.

Classes, including a proposed occupational therapy doctoral program, are expected to begin in the near future, pending approval from the Higher Learning Commission, the Ohio Board of Regents, and the Accreditation Council of Occupational Therapy Education.”

Once approved, Kettering College will be one of six colleges in the United States to offer an entry-level doctoral program for occupational therapy.

“We are pleased to welcome Kettering College to the Ollie Davis Medical Arts and Education Center,” says Jeff Brock, president of the Greene Medical Foundation. “Ollie Davis gave this facility to our Foundation in 2012 with the desire to continue her medical interests, and especially medical education, in Greene County.”

“Occupational therapy is a growing field, and is demanding more professionals who have post-graduate degrees,” explains Nate Brandstater, president of Kettering College. “The Ollie Davis Center is a first-class setting in which to start this program, and to broaden our footprint into Greene County.”

The College recently hired Terrance Anderson, OTD, as its occupational therapy doctoral founding director. Dr. Anderson is recognized nationally for his leadership in the occupational therapy field.

Kettering College is a fully accredited, coeducational college that specializes in health science education. A division of Kettering Medical Center (KMC), the College is located on the KMC campus in a suburb of Dayton, Ohio, and is chartered by the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Kettering College offers certificate programs, Associate and Bachelor of Science degrees, and a Master of Physician Assistant Studies degree.

Born out of Adventist faith and upholding Christ, Kettering College educates students to make service a life calling and to view health as harmony with God in body, mind, and spirit.
