Fernando Ortega to Appear in Free Concert at Kettering College
The Kettering College Office of Spiritual Life and Kettering Adventist Church welcome Christian recording artist Fernando Ortega to Dayton for a free concert on Friday, Feb. 1, at 7:30 p.m. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. The concert will take place at Kettering Adventist Church, located at 3939 Stonebridge Rd. in Kettering. Admission is free, and everyone is welcome. A freewill offering will be collected.
An Albuquerque, N.M. native, Ortega’s music is as rich and colorful as the land he grew up in. His songs have proclaimed love and gratitude to God in both English and Spanish. He has numerous awards and accolades to his credit, including three Gospel Music Association Dove Awards.
His most recent album, “Come Down, O Love Divine,” was released in 2011. A review on Crosswalk.com says the album is “another triumph for Ortega, and a treat for those who have come to appreciate the singer/songwriter’s warm, personable vocals and unique artistic perspective.” Ortega still lives in New Mexico with his wife, Margee, and daughter, Ruby.
