Deleise Wilson Appointed Director of Kettering College’s Division of Nursing
Dr. Deleise S. Wilson has been appointedDirector of the Division of Nursing at Kettering College. Wilson will replace Joan Ulloth, nursing professor and acting interim Director of the Division of Nursing for the past 4 months. Ulloth will continue as Associate Director of the Division of Nursing at Kettering College in the Division of Nursing.
Wilson most recently was a faculty member at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, with undergraduate and graduate nursing roles. Prior to being at the University of Michigan, Wilson taught undergraduate nursing at Loma Linda University School of Nursing. In addition to her teaching responsibilities, Wilson has been very active in research, publications, grant writing, and presenting at various professional meetings.
Dr. Wilson earned a Bachelor’s degree inNursingfrom Northern Caribbean University, Jamaica, West Indies. Her M.A. in Nursing Education is from Columbia University, New York.She received a PhD in Nursing from the University of Michigan, with an emphasis in systems effectiveness. Her program of research focuses on the reduction of hospital–acquired conditions (e.g. falls) and the development of systems-level innovative interventions that engage patients, caregivers and healthcare providers in the recognition and management of latent organizational and practice threats to patient safety.Wilson has received multiple honors and awards in nursing and is a member in 6 National Professional Nursing Societies.

Wilson assumedherduties as the Director of the Division of Nursingon Monday, September 14upon endorsement of her RN license from the Ohio Board of Nursing.
