Graduate and Professional Education Placement for Graduates

- BS in Human Biology
  
  The Bachelor of Science in Human biology curriculum was created specifically to academically prepare those who desire to apply to graduate or professional programs in various health sciences fields, such as medicine, dentistry, physician assistant, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy. In developing the Human Biology curriculum of study, the admission requirements of programs of study in these professional disciplines informed the faculty about the types of courses to include in the Human Biology major.
- BS in Nursing
  
  The Bachelor of Science in Nursing curriculum is informed by professional standards for B.S.N. education—specifically from The National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission’s “2008 Standards and Criteria for Baccalaureate Nursing Education,” the American Association of Colleges of Nursing “Essentials of Baccalaureate Education for Professional Nursing Practice,” the Institute of Medicine’s 2010 report “The Future of Nursing: Leading Change, Advancing Health,” and resources from Quality and Safety Education for Nurses. Graduates of B.S.N. programs may elect to further their nursing education in various graduate areas of study to prepare for specialty roles, such as nurse practitioner, nursing administration, nursing educator, nurse mid-wife, and nurse anesthetist.
- BS in Diagnostic Medical Sonography
  
  The Bachelor of Science in Diagnostic Medical Sonography is the terminal degree within the professional discipline.
- BS in Health Sciences
  
  The Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences completion degree provides opportunity for health care professionals with associate degrees or diplomas in health care professions to complete a baccalaureate degree. While occasional graduates of this program may pursue various master’s degrees, the completion degree was not designed to be a preparatory degree for any specific type of professional discipline at the graduate level.

Your gift will help a student facing a health crisis, job loss, death in the family, or another unforeseen event.

“The sonography program has benefited greatly from the Student Assistance Fund. Our students face the same issues as all people in our community. Divorce, homelessness, and family tragedies have all occurred. If it were not for the student assistance fund helping students with immediate needs, I believe many would have been forced to drop out.
