Idamae Jenkins completed a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science and a Master's degree in Physical Education before moving to Ohio and getting her Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology from Kettering College of Medical Arts in 2002. After her fifteen-year career as an x-ray technologist, Informatics manager, and orthopedic technician in the Dayton area, Idamae accepted the Clinical Coordinator position at her alma mater, now Kettering College. As a graduate of the same college and program, she takes pride in the distinction of being a faculty-alumnus. Being able to give back to the RSI program and have a direct impact on the technologists graduating within my field is an honor and a privilege that I do not take lightly. While classroom instruction is important, the clinical aspect is equally important because our field requires a hands-on practical approach, which helps to reinforce what was taught in lecture.
