Kettering College Sees Record Enrollment for Summer Headcount and Credit Hours
KETTERING, Ohio, June 7, 2017 – With a total of 646 students enrolled for the 2017 summer semester, Kettering College has increased its opening enrollment by 5.9%. A previous high of 610 students was recorded for the summer 2014 semester. Kettering College also reached its record summer credit hours of 5404, an increase of 2.1%, passing the previous high of 5291 for the summer 2015 semester.
This increase in enrollment is due to 48 more students attending than last summer, according to the school’s final summer opening report released last week.
“We’re very excited about our record summer enrollment,” said Victor Brown, Dean for Student Life and Enrollment. “We feel it is a result of the continued expansion of our programs.”
About half of the academic programs saw an increase in enrollment, including the expansion of the Masters of Physician Assistant program. Brown added, “We can’t wait to see how this will impact our fall enrollment.” Kettering College’s online programs and classes remain strong with 242 students enrolled in at least one online course, which is 37 percent of the student body.
