Annual SOCHE Awards Banquet recognizes faculty member Taryn Talbott

Kettering, Ohio, October 26, 2015– The Southwestern Ohio Council for Higher Education (SOCHE) is holding its twentieth annual Faculty Awards Luncheon on Friday, October 30, 2015 at the Dayton Art Institute. This year’s awards banquet will recognize Taryn Talbott, associate professor and advanced imaging clinical coordinator at Kettering College, among more than 70 faculty recipients from 10 area colleges and universities with its “Faculty Excellence” award. Academic officers from SOCHE member colleges and universities have selected recipients for outstanding contributions in teaching, service, and scholarship throughout the academic year. The special event will also feature a keynote by author Karima Bennoune, 2014 recipient of the Dayton Literary Peace Prize for nonfiction and the Special Rapporteur in the Field of Cultural Rights by the United Nations Human Rights Council.

Formed in 1967, SOCHE is a consortium dedicated to advancing higher education in the region through active collaboration, resource and knowledge building, and effective professional development programs.
