Kettering College Occupational Therapy Doctorate Program is Approved
Kettering College will offer a new Doctorate Program in Occupational Therapy by mid-2015
The College is one of 14 colleges in the United States to offer an entry-level doctoral program
KETTERING, Ohio, October 2, 2014– Kettering College, received final approval by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) to offer a doctorate in occupational therapy.
Kettering College will be one of 14 colleges in the United States to offer an entry-level doctoral program for occupational therapy.
“Occupational therapy is a growing field and is demanding more professionals who have post-graduate degrees,” explains Nate Brandstater, president of Kettering College, "We are thrilled to be offering an innovative doctoral program that will propel Kettering College into the future of health care."

Terrance Anderson, OTD, OTR/L, the founding Occupational Therapy Doctorate (OTD) Program director says the opportunity for close collaboration of OTD students and the highly skilled occupational therapists within the Kettering Health Network and the entire Dayton area will provide a high-quality, dynamic learning opportunity for the OTD students at Kettering College.
"We're looking forward to the arrival of the first cohort of students," says Dr. Anderson. "Plans are being finalized for the program to begin early to mid-year of 2015. We anticipate the start date and details of the application process will be released in the next few weeks.
This new OTD program will expand the Kettering College campus into Greene County. The Ollie Davis Medical Arts and Education Center will be the designated location for the OTD program. The center is located at 68 Darst Road in Beavercreek near Indian Ripple Road. The Ollie Davis Medical Arts and Education Center and Kettering Medical Center are part of the Kettering Health Network.
