Kettering College Names New Dean for Enrollment Management

Kettering, Ohio (June 26) – Victor Brown has been named the new dean for enrollmentmanagement at Kettering College of Medical Arts, announced college president Dr. Charles Scriven on Tuesday.

Brown has been vice president for enrollment services at Walla Walla College in College Place, Wash., since 1998. Prior to that, he served as both chaplain and vice president for enrollment services at Southwestern Adventist University in Keene, Texas, for 13 years. Brown also had ministerial, teaching and recruitment experience at Shenandoah Valley Academy in New Market, Va., and at Mile High Academy in Denver, Colo., between 1976-1985.

“My wife, Laurie, and I are looking forward to joining the Kettering College team,” said Brown. “I believe that Kettering College has a bright future, and I am excited that we will be part of it.”

Brown received his master’s degree in theology from Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Mich., in 1986, after earning his bachelor’s in both history and religion from Pacific Union College in Angwin, Calif., in 1976. He was ordained as a minister in 1983.

“Victor will bring great depth of experience, and remarkable energy and passion, to his work on behalf of our college community and our college mission,” said Scriven. “We’re all going to benefit from having him as a colleague.”

Brown replaces David Lofthouse, who recently accepted a position as vice president for enrollment services at LaSierra University in Riverside, Calif.
