Kettering College Sponsors Free Concert with Sandi Patty
Kettering, Ohio (Feb. 16) – The Kettering College of
Medical Arts Office of Spiritual Life andKettering Seventh-day Adventist Church welcome Christian performing artist Sandi Patty to Dayton for a free concert on Friday, Feb. 26, at 7:30 p.m. The concert will take place at Kettering Adventist Church, located at 3939 Stonebridge Rd., in Kettering. Admission is free, and everyone is welcome. A love offering will be collected.
Sandi Patty is the most awarded female vocalist in contemporary music history, with 39 Dove Awards and five Grammy Awards. She was inducted to the Gospel Music Hall of Fame in 2004 and was named an Indiana Living Legend in 2007. Her most recent gospel album, “Songs for the Journey,” was released in 2008.
With a 30-year career heavily rooted in the gospel music industry, Patty also has had the opportunity in more recent years to extend her experience outside the genre. She has performed with symphonies across the country; her first pops album, “An American Songbook,” was recorded with the London Symphony Orchestra and featured many favorites from her symphony performances.
In addition to her prolific musical career, Patty also is an accomplished writer. She is the best-selling author ofBroken on the Back Row,Life in the Blender,Falling ForwardandLayers. She received the 2006 Silver Angel Award forBroken on the Back Row. Patty also spends time singing and speaking about her life’s journey at Women of Faith conferences held throughout the United States.
