Kettering College Sponsors Free Concert Featuring Sara Groves
Kettering, Ohio (Feb. 9) – The Kettering College Office of Spiritual Life and Kettering AdventistChurch welcome Christian recording artist Sara Groves to Dayton for a free concert on Friday, Feb. 18, at 7:30 p.m. The concert will take place at Kettering Adventist Church, located at 3939 Stonebridge Rd. in Kettering. Admission is free, and everyone is welcome. A freewill offering will be collected.
Sara Groves is a singer, songwriter, wife, mother of three and advocate for victims of oppression. She has been honored with numerous Dove Award nominations and “Album of the Year” accolades from CCM Magazine, Christianity Today and others. Groves’ music is heavily influenced by her commitment to God’s call to justice, which has taken her from the hurricane-ravaged shores of Louisiana, to the poorest villages of Rwanda. Her music embraces justice and hope in a way that inspires, encourages and equips listeners for action. Groves’ recent release, “Fireflies and Songs,” was named Best Album of 2009 by Christianity Today magazine.
