Human Biology 3+2 Accelerated Program
Highly qualified Kettering College students enrolled in the human biology major (minimum 3.70 cumulative GPA and minimum 3.70 science GPA) who express a desire to accelerate their studies and meet admission requirements for the Master of Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) degree are eligible to apply to the human biology 3+2 accelerated program.
This program is designed for students who begin human biology courses as freshmen at Kettering. Students transferring to Kettering College will find it difficult to schedule the required course sequence to be eligible for the accelerated courses. A student with an excellent academic record for the first three years as a human biology major at KC, desiring to prepare for the physician assistant profession, may be given early admission to the two-year MPAS program at Kettering College.
Students preparing for entrance into various healthcare related professional schools will find that the Bachelor of Science in Human Biology provides an excellent preparation for these goals. After graduation, students may apply to professional or graduate school to complete their education.
The Human Biology program prepares undergraduates for the next step towards their desired healthcare profession. The program provides a unique learning opportunity for those interested in healthcare careers such as:
- Medicine
- Physician Assistant
- Physical Therapy
- Dentistry
- Pharmacy
- Optometry
Graduates with a B.S. in Human Biology can apply to the appropriate professional school to complete the required education for their chosen profession.
“One of my favorite things about Kettering College is the people.
The professors here are especially great.
They never hesitate to leave their office door open. There’s a difference between professors
who just teach and professors who genuinely care for your success.”
– Rachel Mack, human biology graduate
