Kettering College Respiratory Student Earns Regional Scholarship
Columbus, Ohio, July 28, 2017 – On July 28, 2017, Barnabas Mensah, a senior medical respiratory student at Kettering College, has been awarded the Miller-Orlett Scholarship by the Ohio Society for Respiratory Care. This scholarship is offered to a respiratory student attending an accredited respiratory care program in Ohio.
“We are so proud of Barnabas as he was awarded this scholarship,” said Director and Professor of Respiratory Care program, Nancy Colleti. “This award was personally given by Mr. Ed Orlett in memory of his mother. Mr. Orlett was a fundamental figure in passing the the licensure law of the governing the practice of respiratory care in Ohio. It was a wonderful to see how ecstatic he was to give the award to Barnabas Mensah and to be able to help him achieve his goals!”
The Ohio Society for Respiratory Care is a chartered affiliate of the American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC). This organization is designed to help respiratory care students and professionals connect with each other, become educated on Respiratory Care issues and diseases, and provide resources for the safe and effective practice of Respiratory care.
